“Year of the Goat” Motif

The reverse of the coin depicts an adult goat, a young goat, and a kid grazing peacefully. This design embodies the auspicious saying “Three Goats Bring Good Fortune,” which symbolizes the end of winter and the arrival of spring, the renewal of all living things, and promising new beginnings. The design also features a blooming plum blossom, which represents purity, resilience, and hope. The design further includes the Chinese character for “goat,” the inscription “GOAT 2027,” and the mint mark “P” of The Perth Mint. The obverse of the coin features a portrait of His Majesty King Charles III by Dan Thorn, as well as the weight, fineness, and face value.

Security Feature

On the reverse side of the coin, a security feature in the form of a micro-engraved letter is incorporated into the design. This feature, intended to make counterfeiting the coin significantly more difficult, is visible only under a magnifying glass.
